The Taiwan Employment Gold Card is a special residency program designed for highly skilled foreign professionals who wish to live and work in Taiwan.

Unlike a traditional work visa, the Gold Card is not tied to a specific employer, giving holders greater flexibility to work, change jobs, freelance, start a business, or work remotely while residing in Taiwan.

The Employment Gold Card combines 4 immigration documents into one card:
